Like this

Lately I've gotten into wearing lip stick- tonight I have a formal event to attend. I'm thinking about wearing red lip stick, of course I want to make sure I do it right so I googled "how to wear red lip stick" and found this helpful video.

Chelsea

Of all the comedians out there Chelsea Handler is my favorite. She's very blunt, straightforward, and tells it like it is. She has her own late night show on the E! Network, the show begins with a roundtable of her and several guests. They usually talk about recent happenings, what the tabloids are saying, or about certain celebrities- Chelsea never fails to think of clever and hilarious things to say, or advice to offer. The second part of the show is usually an interview with a celebrity or person of the moment. This video clip is of Justin Bieber on Chelsea, he is so absolutely adorable, very respectful and even asks Chelsea a special question at the end of the interview. Love it! Can't wait to see her when she comes to Seattle.

My best friend is my Blackberry

My Blackberry is the one thing I probably use and spend the most time with on a day to day basis. I use it to communicate with my friends, family and the world. Basically it runs my life- couldn't live with out it.

Favorites

My favorite pair of jeans are my Gap 1969 destructed skinnies- I wear them all the time! They're so comfortable and seriously go with everything. Flats, heels, boyfriend jackets, sweaters, t-shirts etc. I always feel super cute when I wear them.

Happy Birthday Katia!

My sister is 18 today- I can't believe it!

Happy Birthday sissy! Thank you for always being there for me, you're the best listener and you always know the right thing to say to make everything better. I know I can always count on you to be there for me. You make me smile when I'm having a bad day and you always make me laugh when I'm being too serious. We have so much fun together- I love that you're always up for everything! From crazy road trips home that take over 10 hours, to playing in Vegas, to shopping, eating out, dressing up, singing as loud as we can in the car, going to concerts, and just going to Starbucks, I can honestly say that you're my best friend in the whole world. Without you I wouldn't be me. I'm so very proud of the poised and beautiful young woman you have become. You know I will always be there for you, standing right behind you.

I think this picture is very illustrative of our relationship. Love you forever.

Valentine's Day

So this evening I went and saw the movie Valentine's Day with my sister. Let me start off by saying it was fantastic! I laughed, smiled, oh'ed and aw'ed at the star-studded cast, and even got a little teary eyed toward the end. The movie had a lot of different story lines going on- I definitely related to a couple of them.

First there was Taylor and Taylor- their story was about young love. Who couldn't relate to that? There was Jessica Biel's character who hated Valentine's Day and even threw a "I Hate Valentine's Day" party! Something I wish I would have thought of myself. My favorite story line though was that of Julia Roberts- I won't give it away because the ending is just so precious. The movie of course had some sad and disappointing parts but all in all in the end everyone ended up happy and things ended where they should. Finally, I loved the gold Alexis Bittar earrings that Queen Latifah wore in part of the movie- they were amazing! PS that is my fav jewelry designer at the moment. Also Taylor Swift's song "Today was a Fairytale" is so cute if you haven't heard it, makes me smile every time I hear it!

I would highly recommend the movie if you haven't already seen it.

Love the outfit

So for those of you that do not already know, I have a Twitter. I tweet a lot, but thats besides the point. This morning I read on @Nordstrom's Twitter their post about a new pant style inspired by Audrey Hepburn- so exciting! Love the look. You can count on me to order this entire get up.

Wine and Chocolate

Since I've turned 21, my goal has been to learn more about wine- so I decided to join the wine club at the Chateau St. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. Today I went down for my first visit to the winery and to attend their wine tasting they were hosting with Chocolopolis out of Seattle. In one of their beautiful banquet rooms they had tables set up all throughout the room, basically like stations where they'd have a wine picked out and then pair it with a certain type of chocolate. We started off with a sparkling wine, moved onto a merlot and then onto some stronger or more bold cabs. The chocolate was amazing- who doesn't like amazing wine and sweets in one afternoon?

After wrapping up the tasting I decided to walk around the grounds. The entire place is gorgeous, they even have peacocks walking around the grounds. I came upon a cute little girl sharing her popcorn with one, it was very cute.

If you haven't been, and you live in the area I recommend checking it out, its a fun experience tasting and learning more about wine and enjoying the lovely scenery.

Concerts

Something else I love to do is go to concerts. Last year I think it was March- Lady Gaga came to Seattle with Chester French, The White Tie Affair and I'm sorry to say I cannot remember the name of the other group. I took Katia of course- we had to see what the Lady was all about! What I think is funny is that I paid like $25 for a GA admission ticket and when Lady Gaga went out on her most recent tour people paid hundreds of dollars to see her. Glad I saw her when I did, it was very up close and personal just at the Showbox in Seattle. People told me I was crazy to go see her because she was weird- funny how now everyone is obsessed with her. I had never seen Chester French before nor was I very familiar with their music, they turned out to be great! The White Tie Affair was pretty cool too- we got to meet them and took our picture with the lead singer. Something else I'll note really quick about Chester French that I think is pretty neat is that a while back DA posted to his twitter that he would personally call anyone who bought their album. All we had to do was email the receipt or something and a phone number. I did it and they really called! So cool. If you haven't checked out their music you definitely should. It's usually on repeat when I'm at the gym, walking my dogs, or driving in the car. Of all the Lady Gaga's songs, my favorite right now is Speechless. Seeing that picture kind of makes me miss my blonde hair, *sigh.

M.I.A.

Sorry I haven't been around lately! It's been quite busy with work and school. Midterms were just this last week, thank goodness I did well. I guess that's what happens when you study. Anyway, I was also away in California for a long weekend. I went with my brother and sister- we went down to see our family. We had the chance to go to the happiest place on Earth...do you know what I'm talking about? Disneyland! It was so much fun, I think my favorite ride still is Space Mountain. I love that you're in the dark and can't see where you're going next. The Indiana Jones ride was also fun, it had been a while since I was last there. I felt like a kid again. Not that I'm old but I was feeling like it because on quite a few of the rides I got dizzy and almost felt a little sick!
Something else we had the chance to do was explore downtown LA, The Staples Center and Convention Center. What was neat about checking out The Staples/Convention Centers was that the 2010 Grammy's were being held there, we went Saturday when they were setting up and preparing for the big night. I am really interested in production and broadcast so it was a great opportunity for me to get a behind the scenes look at how big events like that are put on. Walking down the red carpet was surreal, seeing the E! News booth, the Access Hollywood people and all the camera men made me feel really excited and inspired to keep working hard so that one day that could be me on camera! We'll see. Anyway here are a few pictures from my trip.
